तस्याहं निग्रहं मन्ये वायोरिव सुदुष्करम्॥
cañcalaṁ hi manaḥ kṛṣṇa pramāthi balavad dṛḍham
tasyāhaṁ nigrahaṁ manye vāyor iva suduṣkaram
क्योंकि हे कृष्ण! यह मन बड़ा चंचल, प्रमथन स्वभाव वाला, बड़ा दृढ़ और बलवान है। इसलिए उसको वश में करना मैं वायु को रोकने की भांति अत्यंत दुष्कर मानता हूं।
अर्जुन मन की चंचलता के बारे में बताते हैं। मन को वश में करना कठिन है पर असंभव नहीं।
